SLS
Introduction to SLS
Selective laser sintering (SLS) is an industrial 3D printing technology that uses powdered materials such as nylon to make precise and durable parts. Similar to other 3D printing technologies, the infrared laser beam is selectively sintered according to the layered cross-section information under computer control. After one layer is completed, the next layer is sintered.
Uses of SLS 3D printing
Because of the excellent properties of processed materials, SLS is a good choice for prototypes and small batch production. SLS components are not only increasingly used for prototype prototypes, but also in mass production applications in many industries. SLS produces parts with high precision and excellent performance, and can print parts with complex geometries.
